During my recent stay at a charming lodge in Greymouth, I was blown away by the warm hospitality and personal touches. The owner, an absolute delight, welcomed us with open arms and his adorable golden retriever. The breakfast, prepared freshly by the owner himself, was truly a culinary experience. I indulged in eggs straight from the hens on the property, surpassing the usual buffet options found in other hotels. We had the freedom to choose any room we desired, and the view from the house was simply breathtaking. We even had the chance to capture stunning photos on the garden swing. The owner went above and beyond, providing helpful dining recommendations and suggestions for sightseeing. I only wish we had more time to spend in this marvelous place. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience. I can confidently say that staying here was definitely worth it and highly recommendable!

Everything about our stay was absolutely incredible! The host was the friendliest person ever and went out of their way to make our experience mind-blowing. The resident dog was beyond awesome and made us smile every time we came back. The gardens were stunning and added a jaw-dropping touch to our stay. The best part was that there were zero downsides, except for the occasional downpours, which we expected on the West Coast. We loved having breakfast with the owners and feeding the lambs. Our room had a breathtaking view across the fields. Although a bit chilly, the owner assured us they were working on the heating to make it super cozy. The location outside the town was perfect and allowed us to explore the area with ease. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting. a super satisfying experience that we will cherish forever!

Great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were delicious, with locally sourced ingredients. The location was excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions. Enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the guest lounge and the opportunity to interact with the animals.
The bed was a bit too soft for my liking, but it was a minor issue. Would have loved to have a spa under the stars as advertised, but it was not available during my stay.

I had a wonderful stay at the charming Oak Lodge for 2 nights. From the warm welcome to the helpful owners, everything felt like home. The lodge is beautifully decorated and located in a serene area away from the main road. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was out of this world, with homemade jam and muffins. The self-contained cottage was fully equipped and the shower had great water pressure. I also received fantastic tips on local sights from the dedicated owner. Will definitely cherish my stay at Oak Lodge.
Would recommend this hotel.

I couldn't have asked for a better stay at Oak Lodge. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view of the New Zealand countryside from my balcony room. The hosts, Alastair and Shirley, went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable experience. They even took the time to give me a tour of the property, allowing me to feed the sheep and admire the garden pond. The breakfast provided was delicious and a nice change from the usual self-made meals. The guest lounge was spacious and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. If you're visiting Greymouth, I highly recommend staying at this cozy B&B on a farm.

We stayed at Oak Lodge for a few days and it was amazing. The private cottage was spotless with a king size bed and a fully equipped kitchen. The gardens were beautiful and we even had the option to join other guests for breakfast in the lodge. The proximity to attractions like Arthur's Pass and Franz Josef made it a perfect home base for day trips. The sheep in the pasture added an extra charm to our farm stay. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
